greater Oneida area offers many leisure and recreational
options. Sports activities including swimming, fishing, camping,
hunting, boating, golf, skiing, and trail riding are just
minutes away.
Snowmobile
trails are endless, stretching in all directions, with plenty
of access points.
Our
museums, farmer's market, bowling center, and ball parks
offer even more choices for family fun. |

Oneida
Lake offers some of the best fishing in the state with an
abundance of Walleye, Northern Pike, Bass, and several species
of pan fish, including Perch, Bullhead, White
Bass, Crappie, and Bluegill.

We have a rich history,
including the following major historic landmarks:

Cottage
Lawn
Built
in 1849, this picturesque Gothic Revival house is
now the home of the Madison County Historical Society.
Built
by the prolific 19th-century architect, Alexander
Jackson Davis, the house is on the National Register
of Historic Places.
Open
September through May, Monday-Friday 9am to 4pm;
June through August, Tuesday-Saturday, 9am to 4pm,
or by appointment. |
Oneida
Community Mansion House
Home of the
Oneida Community (1848-1880), a 19th-century Utopian,
religious commmunity who called themselves "Perfectionists."
Lodging
and meals available. Tours available Wednesday
through Saturday at 10am and 2pm, and Sunday
at 2pm.

Kallet
Civic Center
This multi-purpose community center offers entertainment, classes in performing
arts, ballroom and country dance programs.
The center really
sparkles in December as the site of the Showcase
of Holiday Trees. |
